Sessions

Ready Set Ride Therapeutic Recreation Facility offers weekly riding sessions to accommodate students and their schedules.

7-week riding sessions provide equine therapeutic activities to children challenged by a wide spectrum of disabilities. By evaluating each child's challenges, we can personalize the riding session to give him/her the most effective riding experience. Every session at will have a PATH certified trained instructor, two side walkers, and one horse leader. Each instructor and volunteer devotes their time to make every session a safe and fun experience giving the students memories for a lifetime.

Not sure your child will be okay with riding a horse?

You can call the barn and schedule an appointment for a "trial ride," this is a one time evaluation. The process will last approximately 15 minutes in length. The cost is $45.00 CASH ONLY.

Once your child starts in the program, you will still have the option of backing out and your fee will be prorated and returned.

We appreciate any payment for the program in cash or check. However if you need to use a credit card or Paypal, please consider covering the service fee when checking out.

2023 Policy Changes:

Your spot is reserved once we receive your deposit.

We can no longer offer make up days for missed lessons. Please take this into account when selecting your session dates.

Cost of each 7-week session -  $600.00

Each session at Ready Set Ride has a PATH certified trained instructor, two side walkers, and one horse leader. By providing students with such extensive personal attention a greater length of therapeutic time can be spent with the horses. This hands-on approach provides the students with a higher degree of comfort, stability, and control. Sessions focus on the student’s abilities to participate in a series of movements and tasks designed by the instructor to work harmoniously with rider and horse. Throughout the session instructors continually interact with each student to emphasize activities which stimulate areas of need. Instructors use various forms of communication consisting of visual, audible and kinesthetic throughout the sessions to make sure the student’s participation is meaningful and enjoyable. From the beginning of the session to the end, you’ll always see a smile on a student's face.
