Ready Set Ride Therapeutic Recreation Facility offers a variety of weekly riding sessions to accommodate students and their busy schedules.  For a tax deductible donation of $500.00, we offer 8 week riding sessions which provide equine therapeutic activities to children challenged by a wide spectrum of disabilities.  By evaluating each child's challenges, we can personalize the riding session to give him/her the most effective riding experience.  Each Instructor and volunteer devotes their time to making every session a safe and fun experience giving the students memories for a lifetime. 

Every session at Ready Set Ride has an NAHRA certified trained instructor, two side walkers and one lead person.  By providing students with such extensive personal attention a greater length of therapeutic time can be spent with the horses.  This hands on approach provides the students a higher degree of comfort, stability and control.  Sessions focus on the student’s abilities to participate in a series of movements and tasks designed by the instructor to work harmoniously with rider and horse. Throughout the session instructors continually interact with each student to emphasis activities which stimulate areas of need. Instructors use various forms of communication i.e. visual, audible and kinesthetic throughout the sessions to make sure the student’s participation is meaningful and enjoyable.  No matter what type of day from the beginning of the session to the end you’ll always see a smile on a student's face.

SPRING 2008 RIDING SEASON - April 6th through May 29th

The make-up riding session for May 11th will be October 19th.

SUMMER 2008 RIDING SCHEDULE - June 1st through July 31st

There will be no riding sessions on July 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th.

FALL 2008 RIDING SCHEDULE - August 3rd through September 28th

The make-up riding session for August 3rd will be October 5th.

Sundays Session Times:  1 a.m., Noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. & 3 p.m.

• August 3, 10, 17, 24 (cancelled due to extreme heat August 3rd)
• September 7, 14, 21, 28  (closed August 31st)

Tuesday Session Time:  4:30 p.m.

• August 5, 12, 19, 26
• September 2, 9, 16, 23

Wednesday Session Times:  6 p.m. & 7 p.m.

• August 6, 13, 20, 27
• September 3, 10, 17, 24

Thursday Session Times:  5 p.m., 6 p.m. & 7 p.m.
