Horse Show at Dassenbrook Farm
On Sunday, August 16th, a number of our riders attended a horse show at Dassenbrook Farm in Elburn, Illinois. There was such excitement in the air as our riders gathered around the arena to showcase what they had learned. We actually didn’t know who was more nervous, the riders, their parents, the volunteers or Miss Lisa (my guess was Miss Lisa). As each group entered the arena they had to have their horses back up, reverse and walk on among other things. The tension built when they also had to answer some very tough questions from the judge. In the end, they all performed very well and Ready Set Ride brought home many Blue Ribbons!!! Congratulations to everyone who rode. We are so proud of you!! Many of the riders asked when they could compete again. We are hoping some time next year. We wish everyone could have seen all the smiles, laughs, and high fives. It was a glorious day.
