Meet Country!
Our newest addition to Ready Set Ride!

Meet BUGSY!  23 year old Quarter Horse - cream and white paint. Loves marshmallows! Favorite color is purple. Has tons of trail experience and used to be a Western Show Horse and holds many Wisconsin State Awards. Also had been trained in Wisconsin for rescue and auxiliary police activities. He is a Giant Teddy Bear! Donated in November 2004

Meet LAMBCHOP!  25 year old Arabian - chestnut color. Nickname is Pony. Loves to work sessions, loves treats and baby talk. Was the most used horse in 2006.  Donated in October 2005

 

Meet FIRE!  13 years old. Quarter Horse - tri-color paint. Likes to be the BOSS of the heard. Loves to be groomed, loves to trot, has loads of trail experience and is brave enough to try anything. Earned the nick-name, Hudini (sp) because he knows how to open stall gates with his lips. Has really come to like his work this year. Donated in February 2005

 

Meet SADIE!  22 years old. Quarter Horse, palomino color, as sweet as the day is long, babysitter to everyone, eats her treats very lady-like. Her nick name is "Our Golden Girl" and everyone should own a horse like this, she loves children.  Donated in January 2006

 

 

 

Meet APRIL!  11 year old miniature horse. She came from Michigan where is was a show horse and pulled a cart. She is new to therapy, we a trying to use her a a horse kids can come and groom and learn to lead a horse around. She comes when you whistle, she can shake hands, and she loves baby carrots.

  

 

 

Meet SCOOTER!  7 year chestnut Foxtrotter. He is very gentle, loves treats almost as much as he loves kids! He can fetch a ball or a hula-hoop, just tell him which one to go get, then watch him take a bow! Scooter brings a different "gait" to the therapy experience, his trot is VERY smooth. He is currently owned by Terry and Mike Timmerman of Hampshire, and Scooter is just visiting us with the intent of becoming a therapy horse.  Donated in May 2007
